Bronze Age Anodizing Pigment
* Key dye features are labeled on the bottle for easy reference, including a color swatch.
* Packaged in a UV protective bottle to ensure a long and stable shelf life of unused dye.
* THIS DYE IS SHIPPED IN POWDER FORM TO INCREASE SHELF LIFE. Standard dry shelf life is 5-10 years. TO ACTIVATE COLOR: Open canister. Fill with distilled water to half an inch (12mm) from the opening of the canister. Close canister tightly. Shake well for 30 seconds. Once activated, use product within 1 year.
* Store in a cool, dry place for longevity. Once activated, this 80 mL / 2.7 oz bottle makes 7.6 liters (or 2 gallons) of anodizing dye bath. This dye has very fast uptake and is stable in saturation.
* Dyes are RoSH compliant and made in the USA. Professional anodizing dye with repeatable consistent colors. Create bright, bold colors on anodized aluminum surfaces.

Bronze Age is an anodizing pigment dye. Use Bronze Age only on aluminum. It is not intended for use on any other metals or materials. Bronze Age can change its shade depending on how long it is in the dye bath. It can be a light bronze if you do a shorter anodizing cycle. For a longer duration in the anodizing bath and in the dye bath, Bronze Age will look like a dark rich bronze orange. The anodizing process parameters have a significant impact on the properties of the oxide formed. This means that the color is dependent on the anodizing process.
Bronze Age is RoHS compliant.
Anodizing is an electrochemical conversion process. Anodizing changes the outer surface of the aluminum. Anodized aluminum has different characteristics than raw aluminum. Some of the characteristics of anodized aluminum include durability and weight. (It is lighter weight than stainless steel.) The process of “anodization” creates a thick oxide layer. This thick oxide layer makes it very hard, quite scratch resistant and improves its corrosion resistance. Also, the thick oxide layer makes it easier to clean than raw aluminum. Because of its porous nature, anodizing makes it possible to dye aluminum many colors. Anodized aluminum can replace expensive stainless steel in certain applications. Some applications for anodized aluminum are automotive, aerospace, electronics, furnishings, sports equipment, hobby & miniature parts, etc.
